Why did you decide to do an MBA?

I decided to pursue an MBA for several reasons. Firstly, I was driven by a desire to challenge myself intellectually and expand my knowledge in the field of business. Seeking to fast-track my career, I recognized the MBA as a transformative opportunity to gain valuable skills and insights that would accelerate my professional growth. Moreover, I was excited about the prospect of connecting with likeminded individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering valuable networks, and engaging in collaborative learning experiences. Lastly, I was attracted to becoming a part of the Ivey community, drawn by its strong reputation and supportive environment.

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

The most important lesson I learned at Ivey Business School was the transformative power of collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds. Engaging with my classmates from different cultures, industries, and perspectives, I witnessed how this diversity fuels creativity, and effective problem-solving. By embracing and leveraging our collective intelligence, we came up with solutions that none of us would individually. This experience highlighted the value of collaboration and reinforced the vital role of diversity in driving success in today's interconnected business landscape.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

The most surprising aspect of the MBA for me was discovering how fun and enjoyable the study process could be. Engaging in team assignments, completing 24-hour reports, participating in simulations, and taking part in outdoor team-building activities added a thrilling element to learning. The interactive nature of case method teaching made class discussions engaging and dynamic. These experiences made the MBA journey not only intellectually stimulating but also really fun.
