Why did you decide to do an MBA?

Having worked in the financial services industry for three and a half years I learned which aspects of my roles I enjoyed the most and wanted to be able to do more often - specifically collaborating with various stakeholders of growing companies to help them scale up efficiently while retaining their unique values. I was seeking a new role with an focus on this that would also accelerate my personal and career growth. An MBA was a great way to be able to pivot and explore other industries.

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

The most impactful learning experiences I’ve had in this program have come from listening to classmates applying their own experiences to the cases being discussed. The diversity of thought is incredible and has encouraged me to think about problems and opportunities from new perspectives.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

I've been positively surprised by the amount of collaboration among my classmates! Those with expertise in subjects such as finance, economics or analytics routinely host review sessions before exams and make themselves available to answer questions. It’s similar for recruiting events with people sharing their industry knowledge.
