Why did you decide to do an MBA?

There were two specific reasons for doing MBA:

  1. I wanted to work in a different geography , because my whole professional experience was in India.
  2. I wanted to grow my career exponentially and be ready for future management roles

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

Problem solving and Team work. The case study method puts you in different situations as a leader in a wide variety of Industries and the framework gives you the tool kit to handle those challenges effectively and the learning team method at Ivey helps you develop interpersonal skills and at the same time brings you out of your comfort zones.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

Community at Ivey.

I have never seen a more tightly Knit community anywhere else . From Alumni to peers to Faculty to administration. Everything is so tightly knit and welcoming which is unique to Ivey

Describe the role you play professionally:

I am into sales and marketing domain. My last role before Ivey was of a Brand manager for Tommy Hilfiger and Anne Klein watches business in India handling product portfolio and brand management for both the brands.

Prior to that, I have also done territory sales ,managing retail operations for 23 stores, handling a team of 65 sales staff.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

I would say stakeholder management. As a brand manager, you need to work and sometimes persuade a lot of internal and external stakeholders which could be challenging.

What is your biggest professional accomplishment?

I was chosen to be part of emerging leader program at my previous organization for showcasing leadership abilities and exceptional problem solving skills.

What books are on your bedside table AND/OR what podcast are you listing to right now?

Right now, I am hooked to generative AI and Marketing analytics.

How do you manage stress (i.e. sports, exercise, meditation etc)?

I enjoy playing sports which is a stress buster for me.
