Admissions Process

We know the situation of COVID-19 is impacting many of our applicants, so we continue to be accommodating and flexible with our admissions process and deadlines. We are here to help! Please contact us at msc@ivey.ca if you have concerns about test requirements or submission timelines.

Here's what happens after you submit your application.

1. Application Review

The application review process begins once we have received all application components. Candidates will be contacted if any information is missing, so it is not necessary to contact us to confirm that all documents have been received. Files are then reviewed for progression to the next phase of the process.

2. Online Video Essays

We include an online video essay/interview component in our MSc admissions process. Instructions on completing the KIRA online video essay are provided within the application.

Candidates should be notified within two weeks of their application regarding next steps.

Note: If you have completed the video interview, and the date completed does not populate, please notify msc@ivey.ca.

3. Admissions Interviews

Within approximately two to three weeks of receiving all application components and completing the online video essays, a candidate may receive an invitation to interview.

Ivey conducts interviews by invitation only and all admitted candidates are interviewed at least once. Interviews will be conducted either in-person at Ivey or online via Zoom. Chosen candidates receive further details regarding expectations and preparation tips within the interview invitations.

4. Offers, Scholarships, and Awards

The scholarship and financial aid consideration occurs simultaneously with the admissions process.

Candidates are notified about funding when admissions offers are made. To be considered for financial aid awards, you must complete the financial aid essays within the online application. Completing the financial aid essays will not hinder your opportunity to receive an offer to the program.

5. Conditional Offers

If you have not yet completed the prerequisite courses or the GMAT/GRE, you may still apply.

Subject to review, you may receive a conditional offer on the basis that you complete the remaining requirements before starting the program. Not all candidates in this position will receive conditional offers. All conditions would need to be submitted and cleared by November 1st before a January program start date. All conditions would need to be submitted and cleared by August 1st before a September program start date.

6. Send Official Scores and Documents

Unofficial copies of all supporting documentation is sufficient for the admissions process. If offered admission, our team will request official copies.
