Fast food giant McDonald's is ordering up a different menu and offering table service at many of their outlets. During their launch the venerable franchise showed off their customizable food options and delivered food right to the customers.
Ivey Professors June Cotte and Rob Klassen both offered their insight to London-area media on why McDonald's is changing their business model.
Cotte, who recently used the new self-order kiosks while vacationing in France last summer, said the new service changes the atmosphere of McDonald’s.
“It makes it seem less like fast food, it feels more like a restaurant.”
