Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2015 stood at 62.3. The corresponding figure for May 2014 was 48.2 and for May 2013 was 63.1.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May stood at 51.8. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 59.5, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.6 and Prices were 64.4.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of May is 65.2, Employment 57.4, Inventories 59.5, Supplier Deliveries 46.9 and Prices 64.3.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
