Ivey PMI rises in February

Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2016 stood at 53.4. The corresponding figure for February 2015 was 49.7 and for February 2014 was 57.2.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February stood at 50.3. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 49.9, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.4 and Prices were 57.8.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February  is 56.8, Employment 50.0, Inventories 51.6, Supplier Deliveries 53.6 and Prices 65.8.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of January 2015 stood at 66.0. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for January stood at 55.1.  Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.5, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.1 and Prices were 71.6.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
