Justin Robinson

Justin spearheads design-thinking and creative strategy development to support multiple clients with large-scale transformational impact initiatives. Part iconoclast and part curious listener, he is committed to discovering new, better ways to assist executives and entrepreneurs to expand their capacity for navigating complexity and enacting desired futures within their teams, companies, and industries.

Justin began his career in advertising, working for several Fortune 100 clients before going on to lead corporate communications for an energy startup that raised CAD$1 billion in private equity, grew rapidly from less than 10 to nearly 200 employees and successfully transitioned from an exploration company to a producer. In that role, he led a reputation turnaround with outstanding results, and was an instrumental member of the team that stewarded the organization’s culture through a significant acquisition.

As a coach, Justin works with senior leaders in the areas of executive presence, team performance, decision-making, presentation skills, and leadership effectiveness. He has produced and facilitated numerous leadership, design thinking, and coaching workshops for companies, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations. Notably, he worked with former IDEO designers to develop and deliver a multi-day innovation training event for communities in Alberta.

A mindfulness trainer and long-time practitioner, Justin often incorporates mindfulness training into his work with executives. He is also a competent guide in the area of human development and leadership maturity, and is trained in several psychometric assessments. Justin holds a BA (Hons.) in Communications from the University of Calgary and an MA in Leadership from Royal Roads University, where he was the recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for the highest academic achievement in his program.
