Diane-Laure Arjaliès

Diane-Laure Arjaliès has been an Assistant Professor at the Ivey Business School since 2015. She is cross-appointed to the Managerial Accounting & Control, Sustainability, and General Management groups – a reflection of her research and teaching. Diane-Laure aims to push the boundaries of knowledge and practice by investigating how the fashioning of new devices and/or collective actions can help transform markets towards sustainability. Over the past years, she has studied the emergence of responsible investing, conservation finance, impact assessment, integrated reporting, and alternative currencies. 

Diane-Laure is currently working on the rise of financial technologies and their impacts on society and the development of indigenous forms of business and accounting that accommodate the spiritual and cultural beliefs of aboriginal communities. An ethnographer, Diane-Laure enjoys doing field research and sharing her experiences with students and practitioners. 

Diane-Laure has won several academic, teaching, and professional awards. Since 2017, Diane has been an honourary research fellow at the Centre for Alternative Finance, Cambridge University.
