This five-week cohort-based course is designed to guide you through the strategic, technical, and collaborative dimensions of AI prototyping. Each week builds toward a final project, where you’ll apply the tools and frameworks to a challenge of your choosing.
Duration: 5 weeks (~40 hours total)

You’ll engage through weekly virtual Learning Manager led live sessions, collaborative activities, and a final project. Enrollment closes two weeks before the start date, with access beginning seven days prior to the start of the course. Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Warren Ritchie
Assistant Professor, Information Systems & Strategy
Warren Thomas Ritchie is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Strategy at the Ivey Business School. Prior to his appointment at Ivey, he was a Fellow with CGS Advisors LLC, a boutique Strategy and Innovation advisory firm that he cofounded. CGS clients’ represented multiple industries in North America and Europe seeking support on strategy, managing information technology and adopting new technologies, in particular Connected Technologies (IoT).
Prior to CGS Advisors, Dr. Ritchie had a long career with the Volkswagen Group of Companies working with the importer and manufacturing subsidiaries operating in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and South Africa.
Dr. Ritchie lead the Corporate Strategy function within two separate subsidiaries and his final role for four years was as Chief Information Officer of the US and Canadian subsidiaries. Earlier in his automotive career, he worked in the functional areas of sales, marketing and finance.
Dr. Ritchie is the co-author of the book, “Competing in the Connecting World” as well as an author of several business cases and articles. His current research interests involve clarifying the capability gaps within firms necessary to commercialize new technologies.

Cohort Course Structure and Experience
This is a cohort-based, five-week online course with weekly modules, virtual live sessions, and peer collaboration. The course will be run by a Learning Manager that you can contact with questions. You’ll complete a final project based on everything you learned.
For Cohort courses access will begin seven days prior to the start of the course and conclude 90 days following the date of access.
Plan for approximately 8 hours per week, totaling 40 hours over five weeks.
There are no exams. You’ll complete weekly activities and submit a final project.
