The Statistics Canada Research Data Centre (RDC) houses a vast repository of over 500 distinct datasets, collectively amounting to more than 5 terabytes of valuable statistical data. These datasets cover a wide range of topics including health, labour, education, income, immigration, and business activity; many of which are highly relevant to researchers at Ivey who are interested in data-driven insights into Canadian society and the economy.

In this presentation, Dr. Michael Haan, the Academic Director of Western University's RDC, will provide an overview of the Centre’s resources with a focus on those datasets most applicable to business-related research. He will highlight key studies and longitudinal surveys that can support empirical analysis in areas such as consumer behaviour, firm dynamics, innovation, productivity, and labour market trends.

Michael Haan, Associate Professor - Michael Haan, Dept of Sociology, Faculty of Social Science - Western University
