Manufacturing employment may be dying in Ontario, but Assistant Professor Mike Moffatt sheds light on its potential for rebirth.

In his blog in Literary Review of Canada, he says it will take a combination of regulatory changes, infrastructure investments, and a continued focus on education and skills-development to transform Ontario’s manufacturing sector.

He explores what killed off the jobs and why some areas of Canada might be a sweet-spot due to their high-skilled labour force, significant quality controls, and low cost of living.
