Professor Steve Foerster and Assistant Professor Andreas Schotter were among the experts called upon by media to provide insights on the impact of China’s stock market woes.

Foerster told The Canadian Press China’s plunging stock markets won't necessarily have a big impact on Canadian investors. However, he did warn the slump could affect Canada if it’s indicative of a slowdown in the Chinese economy, which could in turn lead to a decline in commodities. The Canadian Press article ran in several publications including Canadian Business, The Vancouver Sun, and Yahoo! Finance Canada.

Assistant Professor Andreas Schotter spoke with The Vancouver Sun about how the fall in Chinese stocks might affect the North American market, including the impact of short-term traders on the global stock market.
