Getting more women in the boardroom starts with education

Women at work

Although half of Canada’s population is female, women aren’t well represented in Canada’s C-suite. Ivey is working to solve this issue, getting qualified women into the ranks they deserve. It all starts in the classroom.

In The Globe and Mail, Ivey’s Sharon Irwin-Foulon, Executive Director, Career Management & Corporate Recruiting, discusses women and MBAs, and the two initiatives Ivey offers to help women candidates reach their potential: a Leave of Absence Program and an alumni referral program.

Two alumnae, Pamela Jeffrey, HBA '84 and MBA '88, and Keisha Bailey, MBA '15, also share their thoughts.
