Blowback: Siemens Wind Power plant suffers from changing economic winds

Tillsonburg, Ontario, seemed like a winner in Ontario's green-energy push. Then the trouble began when the Siemens Wind Power plant was suddenly wound down, affecting jobs and the community.

Associate Professor Adam Fremeth told The Globe and Mail how the changing economic fortunes of the green energy sector exposed the company to greater competition. 

“All of a sudden, that leg of the stool got kicked out,” he says.
