In-house lawyers often face challenging clients in the course of their work. In a piece with the Canadian Bar Association National Magazine, Ivey's Jana Seijts suggests that behavioural sciences may give hints into what drives and motivates different categories of people.

According to Seijts, there are cues in people’s personalities and traits that give you a perspective into the best way to communicate information. Each person exhibits one of four primary social styles: the Amiable, the Expressive, the Driver and the Analytic.
