The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2013 stood at 53.7. The corresponding figure for November 2012 was 47.5 and for November, 2011 was 59.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November stood at 60.3. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 43.9, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.6 and Prices were 64.4.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of November is 48.2, Employment 55.6, Inventories 43.3, Supplier Deliveries 48.0 and Prices 61.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
