EMBA license plate

You could say Joy Golicz, MBA ’13, is driving recognition of the Ivey brand in the Motor City.

Golicz, who works as a Controller in Detroit, MI, has taken to the streets in a new Ford Mustang convertible with a custom licence plate bearing the words “IVEYMBA”.

She purchased the car to celebrate her graduation from Ivey’s EMBA program in April and added the custom licence plate to show her pride in that feat.

“I knew immediately that I would add the vanity plate. Here in metro Detroit few firms or companies know about Ivey,” she said.  “I chose IVEYMBA so that I could advance recognition for the school.”

Even though Golicz had a five-hour commute from Detroit to Toronto for the EMBA program, she said it was worth the drive.

“I chose to attend Ivey for its case-study methodology.  I knew that this would be the best style to prepare me for a career in management or strategy consulting,” she said.
