Asset Management panellists offer HBA students career insights

The Ivey Asset Management Club hosted four panellists for a discussion of “Breaking into Canada’s Asset Management Industry" on October 7, 2014.

The panellists were:

  • Greg Kocik, MBA '89 - Managing Director, Head of High Yield Bond Group at TD Asset Management
  • Geoff McLeod, HBA '08 - Vice President, Institutional Advisory & Sales at JP Morgan Asset Management
  • Clay Khan, HBA '04 - Senior Vice President, Head of Canada, Institutional Client Group at Neuberger Berman
  • Mark Stacey, MBA '02 - Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Highstreet Asset Management 

The panel discussed what initially attracted them to Asset Management, shared experiences from their careers, and offered advice on how to best break into the industry through formal recruiting and informal networking channels.

Students Jason Ma, HBA '16, and Michael Yelavich, HBA '15, organized the event with supervision from Professor Michael King.
