The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2014 stood at 57.2. The corresponding figure for February 2013 was 51.1 and for February 2012 was 66.5.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February stood at 49.0. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 53.3, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 44.6 and Prices were 65.2.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of February is 57.8, Employment 50.0, Inventories 52.4, Supplier Deliveries 44.6 and Prices 70.8.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
