LONDON, ON, Aug. 7, 2014 – The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2014 stood at 54.1. The corresponding figure for July 2013 was 48.4 and for July 2012 was 62.8.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July stood at 49.1. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 47.3, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 45.7 and Prices were 55.2.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of July is 50.4, Employment 49.5, Inventories 47.1, Supplier Deliveries 46.8 and Prices 53.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
