Ivey PMI falls in September

Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2015 stood at 53.7. The corresponding figure for September 2014 was 58.6 and for September 2013 was 51.9.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September stood at 57.1. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.1, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.8 and Prices were 64.4.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of September is 63.3, Employment 58.5, Inventories 56.9, Supplier Deliveries 49.1 and Prices 63.2.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of August 2015 stood at 58.0.  The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for August stood at 56.3.  Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 42.4, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 48.2 and Prices were 66.3.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
