Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2016 stood at 58.4. The corresponding figure for September 2015 was 53.8 and for September 2014 was 58.6.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September stood at 54.0. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.7; and Prices were 56.8.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of September is 68.1; Employment 56.6; Inventories 53.5; Supplier Deliveries 51.3; and Prices 56.7.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
