The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of October 2020 stood at 54.5. The corresponding figure for October 2019 was 48.2 and for October 2018 was 61.8.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for October 2020 stood at 56.1; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 45.5; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 44.8; and Prices were 63.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of October 2020 is 55.9; Employment 54.8; Inventories 48.0; Supplier Deliveries 44.4; and Prices 62.2.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2020 stood at 54.3. The corresponding figure for September 2019 was 48.7 and for September 2018 was 50.4. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September 2020 stood at 53.8; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 44.1; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 40.7; and Prices were 60.3.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
