The Ivey Case Competition Club (ICCC) is a close-knit community that trains its members in advanced case analysis and presentation skills.
ICCC’s mission is to develop members to their full potential through targeted training, mentorship and collaborative learning. Members represent Ivey Business School at premier business case competitions across the globe.
Since its inception, the ICCC has demonstrated a consistent ability to help prepare its members for recruiting. Today, the majority of former ICCC members have started their careers at the most prestigious firms across a variety of industries.
What is the Ivey Case Competition Club?
ICCC is a unique group that provides students with the opportunity to represent Ivey globally at international case competitions while providing its members with resources to develop their skills.
The club represents Ivey on an international scale, sending competitors to case competitions around the world to tackle complex business problems. This creates a unique experience in its competitive, yet team-oriented nature, as well the diversity of topics competitors are tasked with. Team members have represented the Ivey Business School in various countries, including Germany, Spain, Denmark, Hungary, Netherlands, and more.
Above all, ICCC’s club culture offers students the opportunity to work with amazing individuals who share a competitive drive to win.
Every year, the club recruits between 10-12 second-year students (AEO2s), and upwards of 20 HBA1s and HBA2s.
This past year, the club’s AEO2 Team placed first in a competition based out of Toronto, while two of the HBA2 Teams placed third at competitions in Canada and Hong Kong.

The services and activities that ICCC offers are driven by the three pillars of its mission; Development, Competition Success and Networking.

- Case competitions in partnership with top firms;
- Funding members to compete in international case competitions; and,
- Networking opportunities with alumni working across various industries globally
Why did you get involved with the club?
From starting as AEO2 competitors to now serving as co-chairs, members Samantha Lin and Robert Di Marco, both HBA ’23 candidates, recall how and why they got involved with the club,
“I first heard of ICCC in my second year and was drawn to the club due to its emphasis on training and mentorship. During my time as an AEO2 member, I made some great friends and received a lot of encouragement and support from upper-year students. It was a supportive and inspiring community, and I continued with the club in HBA1” - Lin, 2022-23 ICCC Co-President
“I joined ICCC in my second year because I always enjoyed public speaking, giving presentations, and competing in sports. Although my athletic career ended in high school (aside from intramurals at Western), I saw ICCC as a unique opportunity to still compete. Joining ICCC allowed me to develop my presentation skills while representing Ivey globally in competitions” - Di Marco, 2022-23 ICCC Co-President
What’s next?
The club’s shared vision for the future includes training tailored to each member to help students achieve their greatest potential and place in international competitions.
“Over the last two years, the extensive training and commitment displayed by the club leadership have completely transformed both how we analyze cases and how we give presentations,” says Di Marco. “Being able to represent Ivey on a global level has been an amazing experience”.
