On May 8, the 16th annual Global Ivey Day (GID) brought together alumni, faculty, and students from around the world to celebrate and reflect on the shared experience of being part of the Ivey community.

With 27 regional events taking place across nine countries, this year’s gatherings brought together more than 1,500 alumni – from Toronto to Taiwan – serving as a powerful reminder of the global reach and influence of Ivey’s alumni community.

“Global Ivey Day 2025 was one for the books,” said Pamela Schott, EMBA ’14, GID Committee Chair for the Ivey Alumni Network (IAN). “Building on the momentum of last year’s 15th anniversary, this year saw energy and engagement reach new heights.”

The celebrations kicked off with a first-of-its-kind career discussion between alumni and current students, followed by a lineup of engaging virtual events. More than 400 alumni attended regional celebrations around the globe, while Toronto experienced a strong turnout with a sold-out Senior Alumni Breakfast, a full house at the Power Lunch, and over 350 attendees for the evening celebration at Chefs Hall.

“This network remains one of our greatest assets,” Schott added. “Those who tap into its power continue to grow, thrive, and lead.”

GID also included a diverse lineup of Alumni Community-led events exploring topics like neurodiversity, real estate, and corporate sustainability. And, corporate events at BMO, RBC, Scotiabank, CIBC, and TD all drew strong alumni attendance, adding to the day’s success. Traditional events like the Power Lunch, an Ivey Academy livestream, and virtual Pledge Ceremony were also among the festivities.

This year’s celebration was particularly meaningful as it came on the heels of the launch of Ivey’s bold new vision: To reimagine experiential business learning for the world.

“It was such a rewarding experience to help organize Global Ivey Day for the first time, especially as an alum myself,” said Aindrea Cramp, HBA ’98, who rejoined Ivey as Director of Alumni Relations in August 2024. “Seeing so many alumni come together to celebrate their Ivey connection reminded me of just how strong and supportive this community really is.”
