Led by Louis Hébert, Ivey PhD ’94, Professor of Strategy at HEC Montréal, the sessions brought together faculty members from leading public and private universities in Abidjan for two days of interactive learning and collaboration.
The October 14th morning session was hosted by Dr Hugues KOUADIO, Director of ENSEA. Present at the ENSEA workshop were faculty from Management et Développement d’Entreprise Business School (MDE), the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INPHB) and Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny (UFHB). This workshop was organized by Mr Romaric Coulibaly, Head of the Engineering in Statistics and Economics (ISE) Program.
The afternoon session was hosted by Dr Bismark TANDOH at Graduate School of Management Abidjan and organized by Professor Frederick Binfor, with special thanks to Professor Robert Afari.
Participants explored key aspects of the Case Method, including:
- What makes an effective teaching case and how to use it to drive discussion
- Why the case method works and how it enhances learning outcomes
- Strategies for classroom management, participation tracking, and preparation
- Skills for facilitating discussion and fostering positive listening
