Don Barclay

Don Barclay retired as a full-time faculty member in 2008, yet continues to lead executive education programs for one of The Ivey Academy’s clients, the Turf Team of Syngenta Canada Inc.

Before joining Ivey, Professor Barclay taught marketing and management information systems, and was Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Business at Memorial University in Newfoundland. Prior to his academic career, he was with IBM Canada where he held sales and national account management positions. He has worked with organization such as Siemens, Maple Leaf Foods, Syngenta, Bank of Montreal, 3M, RBC, Bell Canada, General Electric, Cargill, and the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association.

As a volunteer, Don is a founding Director of the Canadian charity Support.Education.Togo (www.supporteducationtogo.org), travelling volunteer (Togo, India) for Sleeping Children Around the World (www.scaw.org), and chair the Public Relations Committee of London’s Cantorion Choir.
