Canadian Chamber of Commerce CEO Perrin Beatty on the effects of crisis for leaders and business

Watch the full recorded broadcast above.

We're joined for a live podcast interview with Ivey professor Gerard Seijts and the Honourable Perrin Beatty, PC OC. Mr. Beatty has served as Canada's Minister of National Health, Defence, Revenue, and more. He is currently the President and CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

In this broadcast, Mr. Beatty discusses the impact of COVID-19 across the Canadian economy - from small business to healthcare and beyond.

"Businesses to go an enormous amount of effort to build teams that have an expertise and serve the customers well. The last thing they want to do is lose those employees. As a consequence, having access to [government programs] and ensuring that cash is actually there to make that payment is critical."
