Module 1: The Fundamentals of Value-Based Healthcare

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

  • Why a value-based health and care mindset is essential for the future of Canada's health systems
  • Organizing care around medically-relevant patient segments
  • Identifying opportunities to improve current services
  • Measuring meaningful outcomes
  • Accelerating learning in clinical teams
  • Succeeding with new payment models (e.g. bundle payments, quality-based procedures, etc.)
  • Accelerating learning in clinical teams

HOW IS THIS MODULE STRUCTURED?

  • This interactive workshop combines case discussions of successful high-value care models with overview presentations and implementation frameworks that participants can readily deploy.
  • Design Thinking and Leadership content will be integrated with case studies and lectures.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Continental breakfast will be provided between 8:00-8:30am in the building lobby each morning.
  • Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be continuously available throughout the day.
  • Buffet lunch will be provided from 12:00-1:00pm each day.
