About the Speakers

Niraj Dawar is a Professor in Marketing at Ivey Business School (Canada and Hong Kong) and a renowned marketing strategy expert who has also been on the faculty of leading business schools in Europe and Asia. He works with senior leadership in global companies and has executed assignments for BMW, HSBC, Microsoft, Cadbury, L’Oreal, and McCain on three continents, as well as with start-ups in the biotech and information space.  His publications have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, the M.I.T. Sloan Management Review and in the leading academic journals in marketing and consumer psychology. His press articles and commentary have appeared in the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, and The Globe and Mail.

John Watson has four key areas of responsibility at Bell Canada: Loyalty and Retention Marketing/Operations, Business Intelligence, Customer Experience and Customer Service for residential and wireless customer service. He was formerly President of Consumer Solutions at Telus, leading the company's consumer wireless and wireline business across Canada and his team was responsible for the successful launches of the Koodo and Optic TV brands. He has been a senior leader in a range of industries, including communications, consumer packaged good, healthcare and management consulting and has lectured on business strategy, loyalty marketing, and leadership.
