Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2014 stood at 56.9. The corresponding figure for November 2013 was 53.7 and for November 2012 was 47.5.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November stood at 52.3. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 50.8, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.0 and Prices were 53.9.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of November is 49.2, Employment 49.2, Inventories 46.3, Supplier Deliveries 47.5 and Prices 52.5.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
