Ivey PMI falls in October

Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of October 2015 stood at 53.1. The corresponding figure for October 2014 was 51.2 and for October 2013 was 62.8.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for October stood at 48.3. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 46.6, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 51.9 and Prices were 61.8.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of October  is 52.3, Employment 48.4, Inventories 48.2, Supplier Deliveries 53.3 and Prices 56.5.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2015 stood at 53.7. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September stood at 57.1. Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 52.1, Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 49.8 and Prices were 64.4.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?"

 A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
