At a black-tie celebration in front of more than 350 of Canada’s business leaders, Linda Hasenfratz, EMBA ’97, CEO of global auto parts giant Linamar, was presented with the 2017 Ivey Business Leader Award by the Ivey Alumni Network (IAN)/Toronto Chapter.
The Award honours individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of business in Canada and have demonstrated leadership in both business and their communities.
The Business Leader Award also serves as a major fundraiser for Ivey. More than $308,000 in net proceeds were presented to the School at the gala celebration.
Funds raised support HBA and MBA student awards through the Ivey Fund Scholars program, and have previously supported the Toronto Alumni Professorship in Business Leadership, which is currently held by Professor Glenn Rowe; the IAN Toronto HBA and MBA Scholarships; and the Richard Ivey Building. Since its inception in 1991, the Award has raised more than $4.9 million in net proceeds.
Also on hand were 32 corporate sponsors (see our website for a complete list) whose generous leadership support led the way for an outstanding year.
