The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2021 stood at 72.9. The corresponding figure for March 2020 was 26.0 and for March 2019 was 54.3.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March 2021 stood at 62.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 39.6; and Prices were 75.1.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of March 2021 is 67.3; Employment 62.1; Inventories 60.8; Supplier Deliveries 38.0; and Prices 74.3.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of February 2021 stood at 60.0. The corresponding figure for February 2020 was 54.1 and for February 2019 was 50.6. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for February 2021 stood at 54.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 57.8; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 38.6; and Prices were 80.2
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
