Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2021 stood at 56.4. The corresponding figure for July 2020 was 68.5 and for July 2019 was 54.2.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July 2021 stood at 62.1; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 60.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 31.1; and Prices were 77.1.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of July 2021 is 59.8; Employment 61.5; Inventories 63.6; Supplier Deliveries 31.9; and Prices 77.7. 

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of June 2021 stood at 71.9. The corresponding figure for June 2020 was 58.2 and for June 2019 was 52.4. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for June 2021 stood at 69.6; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 65.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 37.9; and Prices were 79.4.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
