The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of May 2021 stood at 64.7. The corresponding figure for May 2020 was 39.1 and for May 2019 was 55.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for May 2021 stood at 67.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 65.3; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 34.8; and Prices were 78.6.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of May 2021 is 59.8; Employment 61.8; Inventories 61.4; Supplier Deliveries 34.0; and Prices 79.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2021 stood at 60.6. The corresponding figure for April 2020 was 22.8 and for April 2019 was 55.9. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April 2021 stood at 58.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 59.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 37.8; and Prices were 80.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
