The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of April 2021 stood at 60.6. The corresponding figure for April 2020 was 22.8 and for April 2019 was 55.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for April 2021 stood at 58.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 59.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 37.8; and Prices were 80.0.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of April 2021 is 59.9; Employment 57.1; Inventories 59.2; Supplier Deliveries 36.4; and Prices 77.6.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of March 2021 stood at 72.9. The corresponding figure for March 2020 was 26.0 and for March 2019 was 54.3. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for March 2021 stood at 62.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 61.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 39.6; and Prices were 75.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
