Director of the Ivey Purchasing Managers Index

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of October 2021 stood at 59.3. The corresponding figure for October 2020 was 54.5 and for October 2019 was 48.2.

The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for October 2021 stood at 62.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.0; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 27.5; and Prices were 84.6.

The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of October 2021 is 61.2; Employment 62.9; Inventories 55.4; Supplier Deliveries 28.1; and Prices 84.0. 

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of September 2021 stood at 70.4. The corresponding figure for September 2020 was 54.3 and for September 2019 was 48.7. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for September 2021 stood at 63.7; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 57.7; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 36.5; and Prices were 79.1.

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”

A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
