The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of August 2021 stood at 66.0. The corresponding figure for August 2020 was 67.8 and for August 2019 was 60.6.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for August 2021 stood at 66.9; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 60.3; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 34.2; and Prices were 69.7.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of August 2021 is 63.8; Employment 62.3; Inventories 58.6; Supplier Deliveries 32.9; and Prices 72.4.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of July 2021 stood at 56.4. The corresponding figure for July 2020 was 68.5 and for July 2019 was 54.2. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for July 2021 stood at 62.1; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 60.4; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 31.1; and Prices were 77.1.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
