The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of December 2021 stood at 45.0. The corresponding figure for December 2020 was 46.7 and for December 2019 was 51.9.
The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for December 2021 stood at 50.0; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 49.6; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 27.7; and Prices were 77.6.
The Ivey PMI unadjusted data for the month of December 2021 is 51.1; Employment 53.8; Inventories 55.5; Supplier Deliveries 33.1; and Prices 78.8.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (seasonally adjusted) by the end of November 2021 stood at 61.2. The corresponding figure for November 2020 was 52.7 and for November 2019 was 60.0. The Employment index (seasonally adjusted) for November 2021 stood at 54.5; Inventories (seasonally adjusted) 55.0; Supplier Deliveries (seasonally adjusted) were 29.6; and Prices were 75.0.
The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index shows responses to one question: "Were your purchases last month in dollars higher, the same, or lower than the previous month?”
A figure above 50 shows an increase while below 50 shows a decrease.
