The 60 professionals who make up the Executive MBA (EMBA) Class of 2024 got to know each other through a variety of team-building activities as part of their first residence week at Ivey's Spencer Leadership Centre.

The week-long session began on September 11 and will wrap up on September 18 and included a mixture of classes, team exercises, and social activities where the participants learned from each other’s unique knowledge and experience. There were even some joint activities with the EMBA Class of 2023 participants who are beginning their third term of the program.

Ivey Dean Sharon Hodgson welcomed the Class of 2024 at a dinner on September 15 and told the participants her own EMBA experience was pivotal to her career. She also discussed how critical issues, such as the evolution of work; global citizenship, competitiveness, and innovation; and sustainability will be embedded in the program curricula to prepare the participants to address some of the challenges they might face in their organizations.

“Through immersive cases focused on the most pressing issues facing businesses today, you’ll be able to build on your problem-solving, executive decision-making, and leadership skills and develop a big-picture point of view,” she said. “Ivey is going to give you the opportunity to take your success, and that of your organization, even further.”

Ivey’s new EMBA participants come from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a look at the EMBA Class of 2024 by the numbers.
