Ivey is proud to welcome the newest cohort of the Accelerated MBA (AMBA) program – 59 accomplished professionals representing 50 companies and 22 industries. Nearly half of the class (47 per cent) identify as women, marking the sixth consecutive year that female representation has surpassed 40 per cent. The milestone reflects Ivey’s continued commitment to developing diverse and inclusive business leaders.

The Class of 2027 brings a strong mix of global perspectives and professional experience. More than half of the students (52 per cent) were born outside of Canada, representing 18 different countries. Together, they span 24 undergraduate institutions and bring expertise from across sectors.

Global experience enriches the learning journey

The AMBA students officially began their Ivey journey at a welcome reception in Toronto on October 30, where they connected with Ivey faculty and staff, and their AMBA peers.

“We welcomed the Accelerated MBA Class of 2027 at a lively kickoff event,” said Fernando Olivera, Faculty Director of the AMBA program. “There was lots of energy as students met their learning teams for the first time and connected with peers who will accompany them on their Ivey journey. The atmosphere in the room set a wonderful tone for the year ahead.”

The AMBA class will begin the online portion of the program in November and meet again in January for a week-long residential session at Ivey. As they embark on this next phase, their diverse experiences and shared ambition promise an exciting year of growth and discovery.
