A spirit of teamwork marked the beginning of Ivey’s newest Executive MBA (EMBA) journey as 58 accomplished professionals gathered at the Spencer Leadership Centre on September 7 to take their first steps together as the Class of 2027.
The welcome event featured remarks from EMBA Faculty Director Fernando Olivera, an alumni panel where graduates shared advice and reflections, and a team activity that set the tone for the collaborative learning environment ahead.
“We are delighted to welcome our newest EMBA cohort of 58 students, a diverse group who bring remarkable talent and experience,” said Olivera. “On their first afternoon, they shared both nerves and excitement, asked thoughtful questions about how to succeed in the program, and dove into team activities with enthusiasm. It’s already clear they are eager to learn, support one another, and make the most of the journey ahead.”
As they begin their Ivey journey, the EMBA Class of 2027 has already begun building the skills, perspectives, and networks that will shape their program experience.
