I was born in North Macedonia and grew up in London, Ontario. I completed my undergraduate degree at Western University in Criminology before earning my MSc in Management: International Business with a CEMS Masters in Management from Ivey. During my studies, I had the opportunity to complete a semester abroad and an internship in Southeast Asia. Those experiences challenged me to adapt quickly, think globally, and build relationships across diverse environments.
Today, I live in Toronto and work in finance on a Strategic Initiatives team, where I help drive projects that support business growth and operational excellence. I’m passionate about continuous learning, building meaningful connections, and finding opportunities to make a positive impact through my work.
What led you to your career, and how has it evolved over time?
My career path has not been linear, which is something I’m grateful for. I began my professional journey in the legal industry, where I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Over time, I became increasingly interested in business strategy. Each step of my career has built on the last, and the transition taught me the value of embracing change, being adaptable, and continuously challenging myself to learn new skills.
Who inspired you?
My dad has been my biggest inspiration. Throughout my life, he has consistently encouraged me to believe in myself, work hard, and persevere through challenges. His resilience, optimism, and unwavering support taught me that growth often comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone and trusting your ability to figure things out along the way.
How did Ivey play a role?
Ivey played a significant role in shaping the way I approach business and leadership. Beyond the academics, it was the people who made the biggest impact. I was surrounded by ambitious, talented peers who constantly challenged one another to think differently, grow, and perform at a higher level. The case-based learning environment pushed me to make decisions in complex situations, defend my thinking, and collaborate with others. The relationships and connections I built at Ivey continue to influence my career and personal growth today.
Why did you choose the MSc program specifically?
The MSc program felt like the perfect fit because it closely mirrored the realities of the business world. It was intensive, highly practical, and focused on solving real-world problems alongside other high-performing individuals. I was drawn to the opportunity to learn through experience rather than theory alone. The program also provided access to exceptional professors whose industry insights and mentorship helped bridge the gap between the classroom and professional practice.
What personal or professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
One accomplishment I’m particularly proud of is building a career in finance despite initially finding subjects like finance and accounting challenging. Not long ago, while at Ivey, I relied on tutors to help me build my understanding of those subjects. Today, I work in the field and regularly apply those concepts in my role. That journey taught me that success isn’t about being naturally gifted at something. It’s about being willing to put in the work, stay curious, and continually challenge yourself to grow.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
Outside of work, I enjoy Pilates, going on long walks with friends, and travelling whenever I can. I love experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and gaining perspectives that help me grow both personally and professionally.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
Most people are surprised to learn that I’ve attended more than 100 weddings.
What is your favourite memory from your time at Ivey?
One of my favourite memories was the entrepreneurship trip to Silicon Valley. It was an incredible opportunity to learn firsthand from innovators and entrepreneurs, gain exposure to some of the world’s most influential companies, and experience the energy and ambition that define the startup ecosystem.
What is the most important takeaway from your Ivey experience?
The most important takeaway from my Ivey experience is that growth happens when you challenge yourself. Whether it was tackling difficult cases, presenting ideas under pressure, or learning alongside exceptionally talented classmates, Ivey taught me to embrace uncertainty with confidence. Success isn’t about having all the answers – it’s about being willing to learn, adapt, and keep moving forward.
Are you still connected to the School in any way?
I’m still closely connected to the Ivey alumni network. One of the nicest surprises after graduation has been seeing just how strong and supportive the Ivey community really is.
Through networking and reconnecting with alumni across different industries and countries, I’ve built meaningful relationships that extend far beyond career opportunities. The willingness of fellow alumni to share advice, offer support, and help one another succeed is something I continue to value and appreciate.
