June Cotte is a Professor of Marketing at the Ivey Business School. She has served as President of the Association for Consumer Research and is currently Co-Editor of the Journal of Consumer Research. In addition, she is a Co-founder of the “Designing Your Career in the Marketing Academy” initiative, designed for young female marketing scholars.
Professor Cotte's research interests focus on behavioral issues, including why and how people perceive time and how that influences their behavior at work and at leisure, family influences on behavior, and strategic issues in consumer review platforms. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, MIT/Sloan Management Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, and the Journal of Managerial Psychology, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, and other outlets.
June regularly presents her research at business schools around the world. She is an Honorary Professor at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, as well as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Monash University in Australia. In 2025 she was honored as an Erskine Research Fellow at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. She also has global teaching experience, teaching executive programs for the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in North Carolina, Germany, Thailand, China, and Kazakhstan. She was also a founding faculty member at One League, where she taught the Harvard Business School Marketing core course in the MBA program to students from around the globe. In 2022, she was named by The Case Centre (U.K.) as one of the Top 50 Bestselling Case Authors in the world.
