Ivey Executive Education named #1 in Canada by Financial Times
Ivey Executive Education has been named Canada’s top provider for customized executive education in the 2026 Financial Times Executive Education rankings, reinforcing its position among the leading executive learning providers in North America and globally.
The rankings placed Ivey #1 in Canada for Executive Programs, recognizing the School’s strength in designing and delivering learning experiences for organizations and senior leaders across Canada and around the world.
Globally, Ivey Executive Education ranked #26 for Customized Programs, while also earning strong international results, including #2 in North America, #9 for overseas programs, and #16 for faculty diversity.
The result reflects Ivey’s broader Bold Ambition: to reimagine experiential business learning for the world. The strategy builds on Ivey’s legacy in case-based, immersive learning while expanding its reach, adaptability, and impact for a rapidly changing world. Through Executive Education, that ambition comes to life directly with organizations and leaders who are facing complex decisions in real time.
Ivey’s approach is grounded in decision-based learning: putting leaders inside the ambiguity, trade-offs, and pressures of business leadership before they encounter those moments in practice. Rather than simply transferring knowledge, Ivey programs challenge participants to diagnose problems, weigh competing priorities, test assumptions, and exercise judgment when the answer is not obvious.
That focus is especially important for executive audiences. Senior leaders are not only looking for new ideas; they need the confidence and capability to make better decisions under pressure. Through customized programs, case discussions, simulations, peer learning, and direct application to organizational priorities, Ivey helps leaders build the judgment, character, and practical readiness required to lead through uncertainty.
The results demonstrate Ivey’s continued momentum as a global provider of executive learning and leadership development. The Financial Times rankings assess the world’s leading executive education providers across a range of criteria, with significant weight placed on client and participant feedback.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the experience of the organizations and leaders we work with every day,” said Bryan Benjamin, Executive Director, Ivey Executive Education. “Our clients and participants are central to the learning experience. Their insight, ambition, and willingness to engage deeply with one another are what make Ivey programs so powerful.”
Ivey’s Custom Programs are designed in close collaboration with client organizations to address their specific strategic, leadership, and talent-development priorities. Through case-based learning, faculty expertise, peer discussion, and applied program design, Ivey Executive Education helps leaders build the judgment, capabilities, and confidence needed to create impact in their organizations.
Benjamin added that the ranking also highlights Ivey’s expanding reach.
“Being ranked #2 in North America and #9 globally for overseas programs speaks to the strength of Ivey’s work beyond Canada,” he said. “We are proud to represent Canadian business education on the world stage and grateful to the clients and participants whose feedback helped shape this result.”
Ivey Executive Education thanks its clients, participants, faculty, staff, and partners for their continued trust and engagement.
“The Financial Times rankings are a moment to celebrate, but also a reminder of our responsibility,” said Benjamin. “We are committed to continuing to raise the bar for executive learning, in Canada and globally.”
