Anne Matthews is a transformation leader, advisor, and storyteller with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations navigate change, innovation, and growth. As a management and change consultant, she works with public, private, and non-profit sector leaders on organizational transformation, strategic communications, employee engagement, change management, and the future of work.
During her career in the Ontario Public Service, Anne held leadership roles with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, led marketing and communications strategies for the expansion of ServiceOntario, and helped establish the Ontario Digital Service, where she worked with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver modern, citizen-centred services. She also created the Ontario government's Behavioural Insights Unit and led major digital and organizational transformation initiatives.
Prior to government, Anne worked in journalism at Citytv, CFMT, and CBS News in New York, developing the curiosity, storytelling, and communication skills that continue to shape her work today.
Known for her empathetic, creative, and people-centred approach, Anne enjoys helping leaders and teams solve complex challenges, build trust, and turn ideas into action. As an Executive-in-Residence, she is passionate about mentoring students as they navigate ambiguity, strengthen their confidence, and develop practical solutions to real-world problems. She is particularly interested in projects involving organizational transformation in the age of AI, business strategy, change management, employee experience, communications strategy, public sector innovation, human-centred design, leadership development, and social impact.
