Profile
Jay is a Global Operations / Supply Chain executive with broad industry experience who inspires teams to achieve operational and strategic excellence. For the last 14 years he has held senior executive positions with Volvo, Canada Post and Stanley Black and Decker. This has included roles as the Divisional President and Global Vice President with Volvo Construction Equipment where he led Operations, Engineering, and Logistics teams in the deployment of strategic and operational excellence throughout the organization, across all functions, around the world. Jay and his family currently call Guelph, Ontario home, but have also lived in Belgium for 6 years and briefly in the United States allowing them to experience a variety of different cultures and challenges along the way.
Jay is known as a strong leader with a reputation as a team builder and motivator. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University, Post Graduate Diploma in Global Business Strategy from Oxford, Master of Science, Manufacturing Operations from Kettering University and Bachelor of Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Biology from the University of Windsor. On top of Jay being an Executive in Residence at Ivey, Jay is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the Mechanical Systems Engineering program at Conestoga College.
