Samantha Roman is Chief of Staff to the CEO of Volatus Aerospace, a publicly traded drone and aerial intelligence company advancing defence, wildfire response, and critical infrastructure solutions across North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. There, she leads enterprise coordination and operating velocity across the Executive Leadership Team, at the centre of NATO-aligned defence procurement and Canada's sovereign drone industrial base. She builds what endures, grounded in experience operating inside Fortune 250 companies, which includes highly regulated industries built on safety and trust: healthcare, capital markets, critical infrastructure, and defence.
Early in her career, Samantha held full P&L accountability for Southwest Ontario at Cardinal Health, managing the complexity of over 50 hospitals and capturing 88% market share. In Investor Relations at RBC, she was responsible for the Investor Analyst Day launch of the Wealth Management platform, and in commercial banking, a strategy she pioneered became standard practice at every other major Canadian bank. As founder, she then built a company from concept through acquisition, delivering a 33 times return to shareholders. Her military record is equally decisive, with three decades of service, including leadership roles as Second-in-Command of a multinational NATO Brigade Civil-Military Cooperation team, and as Chief Information Officer, special projects, in support of 3rd Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, serving Northern Ontario.
Samantha has 11 years of board governance experience with St. John Ambulance Ontario, and is an Executive in Residence at Ivey, where she earned her MBA. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Honours) from McMaster University.
